It’s the final day at the 2012 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Collector Car Event, and that means the best cars will be rolling across the block, with prices expected to rise accordingly.

SPEED will televise 10 hours of live coverage today from the Mandalay Bay, with the broadcast scheduled from 2 p.m. to midnight ET.

A gleaming red 1955 Cadillac Series 62 convertible, all ready for cruising the Vegas Strip. (Photo: Tom Jensen)
Here are five big dogs that should fetch some impressive money today:

Lot 635, 1955 Cadillac Series 62 convertible — One of the true icons of the post-World War II America is the Cadillac convertible, a symbol of the optimism and excess of the Eisenhower era. This Cadillac is a gorgeous example of that, a brilliant red Series 62 ragtop with a two-tone red-and-white interior. Think Elvis, the open road and a long drive ahead. Not to mention the fact that this is about as perfect a cruiser as you’ll find for the Vegas strip. Truly a car to make its driver feel like the king or queen of the road. UPDATE: This isn't a trailer queen, which was reflected by its hammer price of $48,000.

Lot 642.1, 1967 Chevrolet Corvette roadster — NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick is also a huge player in the collector-car world and his specialty is vintage Corvettes. Here’s one of Hendrick’s cars, a beautiful Marlboro Maroon 1967 Corvette roadster, with a matching-numbers L79 327/350 small-block Chevy.

The 1969 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner has been thoroughly vetted as authentic. (Photo: Tom Jensen)
This engine is highly desirable for its power and the fact that it’s much lighter in weight than the big blocks, which makes for improved handling. Options include factory air conditioning, aluminum bolt-on wheels, bias-ply red-line tires, factory-correct AM/FM radio, tinted glass and tan soft top. UPDATE: A great car, this Corvette brings $75,000.

Lot 646.2, 1969 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner — The king of the Mopars in the 1960s was the fire-breathing, 426-cubic-inch, 425-horsepower Hemi engine, available in a variety of body styles. This is a 1969 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner in Sunfire Yellow with black-vinyl bench seat, automatic transmission and column shift. Listed in the Chrysler Registry, this one has been decoded by Mopar guru Galen Govier and is one of 421 Hemi Road Runner hardtops built in 1969 and one of only 187 with an automatic.

This 2012 F-150 SVT Ford Raptor designed by NASCAR star Greg Biffle will be offered in a charity sale. (Photo: Tom Jensen)
It has undergone a comprehensive nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration and tons of receipts accompany the sale. This one has less than 56,000 original miles. UPDATE: The winning bid on this one is $84,000.

Lot 2006, 2012 F-150 SVT Ford Raptor — Here’s a cool charity truck designed by NASCAR star Greg Biffle as part of the Sherwin-Williams Planet Color All-Star Charity Challenge with fellow NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer. Biffle's Raptor features red, white and matte-black Sherwin-Williams custom paint by Street Customs of Mooresville, N.C. Roush Performance Off-Road added a power boost with the 6.2-liter engine that produces 525 horsepower and 535 foot-pounds of torque. Lots of trick features here, with all proceeds going to the Greg Biffle Foundation, which has awarded grants to more than 400 humane societies and animal shelters from coast to coast since 2005.UPDATE: Biffle's trick truck raises $80,000 for his foundation, a solid number but short of the $100k Clint Bowyer got for his charity truck.

This spectacular custom 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS will turn plenty of heads. (Photo: Tom Jensen)
Lot 6300, 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS — An astonishing custom hot rod, this Chevy Impala SS was built from the ground up by Roger Burman of Lakeside Rods & Rides, with custom interior by Paul Atkins. Under the hood is a modern LS2 Chevrolet small-block engine. Features include Estate Green exterior paint, electric windows, 6-way power seats, center console, floor shift, Air Ride system, custom gauges, custom dash, steering wheel and door handles. This car is a driver with 8,700 miles on the build. The car has angels on the engine and interior. This is a jaw-dropping build and one of the top customs in the show. UPDATE: At $100,000, this wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny.
