RM Auction’s Monterey sale in August boasts a significant collection of vintage Ferraris, including a rare 1956 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta “Tour de France” and a Ferrari 410 S Berlinetta that’s valued in the multi-million dollars.

More than a dozen Ferraris that the auction calls milestone cars will be offered at RM’s sale in downtown Monterey, Calif., on Aug. 17-18 during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance weekend.

“The Tour de France is one of Ferrari’s most celebrated models,” Shelby Myers, managing director, RM California, said of the recently consigned 250 GT. “The car on offer – a 14-louver example – is particularly exciting, as it is among the rarest and most sought after of TdF’s and comes fresh to the market, offered for the first time in 14 years.”

RM scored at $6.5 million sale at its Monaco auction in May with a 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spyder.

Red with blue and white stripes, the Berlinetta TdF (chassis 0585 GT) with coachwork by Scagietti is the first of nine cars built with 14 louvers. The car also has a Hollywood connection: it was owned for a time by Walt Disney studios and co-starred in the 1966 film, The Love Bug.

In addition to the TdF and the valuable 1955 Ferrari 410 S Berlinetta (chassis 0594 CM), other Ferraris offered at this year’s RM Monterey sale include:

• A highly desirable 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 (Est. $1,200,000–$1,600,000).

• A Ferrari Classiche-certified 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB (Est. $950,000–$1,150,000).

• An iconic1990 Ferrari F40 supercar (Est. $650,000–$725,000).

• A low-mileage 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Cabriolet (Est. $600,000–$700,000).

• A perfectly restored1974 Ferrari 246 Dino GTS “Chairs and Flares” (Est. $250,000–$325,000).
