Auction house Gooding & Co. will sell a Maserati A6G/54 owned by Jay Kay, the lead singer of Jamiroquai, during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August. Also crossing the block will be a 1938 Bugatti owned by Prince Louis Napoleon, a notable Shelby 427 Cobra and many other collector cars.

Last year during its Pebble Beach event, Gooding sold $78 million worth of merchandise, including a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Prototype for $16.39 million, a world record for a car sold at auction. This year's event takes place at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center on Aug. 18 and 19, with viewing Aug. 15 to 17.

The auction will be headlined by Grammy-winner Jay Kay's Maserati. This 1955 Frua-bodied Berlinetta has won Best of Show at Salon Privé and has participated in the Mille Miglia Storica more than once. It will be auctioned at Pebble Beach for the first time, with a pre-auction value estimate of $1.5 million to $2 million.

The 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra is one of 260 examples produced for the road, with all correct documentation. The Shelby is numbered CSX3216 and has an authentic, date-coded 427 FE big-block engine.

The side-oiler was rated at 425 horsepower and came with a top speed of 164 mph. The car has been restored to its original Wimbledon White exterior with black interior. The estimate for the Cobra is $750,000 to $900,000.

The third car that could top the list at Gooding is a 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Stelvio owned by Prince Louis Napoleon, a descendent of Emperor Napoleon I. Under the pseudonym Louis De Montfort, he received the car from the factory in Molsheim, France, on May 10, 1938.

The prince was a notorious Bugatti collector – he owned nearly three dozen in his lifetime – and this black-and-cream, matching-numbers example was his last purchase before leaving to serve in the war. He ordered the car with a Cotal gearbox and Houdaille shocks, two rare additions that remain on the car. The estimate for this Bugatti is $1.3 million to $1.6 million.
