SPEED, the definitive network for motorsports and the automotive lifestyle, will be shooting an episode of its hit television show, PINKS All Out, this weekend (April 19) at Florida’s Gainesville Raceway - host of the historic NHRA Gatornationals every March. PINKS All Out is presented by NAPA and is seen by more than 2.5 million viewers a week.

Hosted by creator and executive producer Rich Christensen, and attended by the entire PINKS All Out crew, more than 450 local drag racers will attempt to grab one of the coveted PINKS All Out 16 slots, with final eliminations beginning around dusk. Gates open to the public at 8:30 am on Saturday, as the first of two time trials start at 10:30 a.m. Also open to the public will be the Friday test n’ tune, as racers prepare their cars and get familiar with track conditions. The show is scheduled to air this August as a part of season two.

“Gainesville has been a great venue for our original show, PINKS,” said Christensen, who also created popular SPEED originals Pass Time and Drag Race High. “But PINKS All Out was our answer to all the ‘sandbagging’ and ‘cheating’ that some had seen on the original show. We want racers to run all out, and then we’re going to pick the 16 cars that will race for $10,000 and a new NAPA tool chest.

“This show is a ‘thank you’ to all the racers who’ve supported us,” Christensen continued. “We’re expecting big things in Gainesville because it has such a strong local base for drag
racing. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Pullin Television out of Los Angeles will be shooting the show, while Gainesville Raceway will be providing a full ‘at-track’ experience with a variety of on-track exhibitions and an entertainment midway that will include the SPEED Mobile Theatre and the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series mobile drag racing simulator.

“We’re excited about hosting everyone from the entire PINKS All Out crew,” said Gainesville Raceway General Manager Don Robertson. “Phones have been ringing off the hook and there’s a lot of interest for this event. And for those of you who weren’t able to make it to the Gatornationals last month, this is a great opportunity for everyone to also see many of the upgrades we’ve made to the track.”
