SPEED exercised its options on three of its popular automotive lifestyle programs – Livin’ the Low Life, SuperCars Exposed and Super Bikes! – commissioning 13 new episodes of each to air in the first quarter of 2009.

“Each of these series has its own unique style and personality, and taken as a group they speak to the wide diversity and interests of the automotive lifestyle and culture,” said SPEED VP of Programming and Executive Producer Robert Ecker. “As we’ve made the jump to full high-def production, these series have been instrumental in elevating the look and feel of our primetime lineup; they really pop in HD.”

Livin the Low Life and SuperCars Exposed will be returning for second seasons, while Super Bikes! enters its fourth season. Show descriptions below:

Livin’ the Low Life -- Model Vida Guerra takes viewers through Mexican-American communities from East Los Angeles to El Paso, Texas, where cruisers have been dropping Chevys to a sidewalk-scraping stance since the late 1930s. By the 1970s, Los Angeles and other cities in the Southwest had combined cars with lifestyle and fashion, and the lowrider scene was born.
SuperCars Exposed -- 2007 X Games Rally gold medalist Tanner Foust takes you inside the extreme lifestyles of the guys and gals who live
for their rides. See the 200-mph Autobahn burners built by Germany’s Brabus and the pimped out Lamborghini Murcielago of Tony Stewart. Learn the secrets of SPEED demons, using the latest technology and innovations in their cutting edge quest for the ultimate in power, style and handling. Hitch a ride for high performance and groundbreaking automotive trends.
Super Bikes! -- Hosted by red-hot Hollywood stunt rider Jason Britton, Super Bikes! takes viewers inside the extreme lifestyles of today’s young riders.

With all three programs, long and short-form content will be made available all season through SPEEDtv.com, VOD cable, iTunes video podcasts, mobile phones, cable broadband sites and viral distribution.
