R.E.M. isn't just that all-American rock band from Georgia. It's also the stage of deep slumber when your dreams are at their most vivid, characterized by intense R.E.M., or rapid eye movement. It's probably the time we guys are dreaming the most about Jessica Simpson in Spandex. Or blasting down Pacific Coast Highway in a red Ferrari. Or both. With Ms. Simpson in the passenger seat. Still in Spandex.
Alas, to the vast majority of fiscally challenged souls, both will remain just that. Dreams. A base Ferrari F430 Coupe these days will set you back $168-grand, with the Spider version stickering at a heady $192,484. Ms. Simpson? Priceless.
But as publishing tycoon Felix
Why own when for $1,195 you can call up Las Vegas Exotic Car Rentals (www.vegasexoticrentals.com) and rent a Ferrari F360 Modena Coupe for 24 hours. That works out at less than 50 bucks an hour. And chances are, after a whole day cruising The Strip and blasting through the Nevada desert, you'll have worked the whole Ferrari thing out of your system. Or be recounting how you hit 195mph on I-15 to your fellow prison inmates.
