Hyundai-Kia and Microsoft have today announced a long-term partnership to develop the next-generation of in-car infotainment systems.
The first product from this alliance will be a device that provides voice-controlled connectivity with mobile phones. It’ll be introduced in North America in 2010.
There’ll also be new-age multimedia and navigation devices within two years. The next generation of in-car entertainment
Microsoft is taking this broadening of their market influence in Asia very seriously. Bill Gates was on hand in Seoul this afternoon to sign an agreement with Mongku Chung, the chairman of the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. It will mean the firms develop the new technology based on Microsoft’s software.
