Cadillac’s forthcoming Cadillac CTS-V sedan has completed a lap of the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7min59.32sec, according to the company.
Although nearly 40 seconds adrift of the time recently set by the Nissan GT-R, the time puts the CTS-V at the top of the rankings for production
Cadillac says the CTS-V was in the same spec as final production versions, meaning a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 that puts out 542hp. The final road car will also be available with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions.
Production of the CTS-V begins this fall.
