Domino's Pizza recently put out a call to its fan to design the ultimate pizza-delivery vehicle. Those fans answered the call, and the winner was Anej Kostrevic of Slovenia.

What he came up with was a Smart Car-looking vehicle with large sliding shelves for several hot bags of pizza, a refrigerator for two liters of pop and, of course, a navigation system. We didn't see fuel mileage mentioned, but we'd assume that was a factor in the Kostrevic's design.

Otherwise the Deliverator would do the trick. Kostrevic will win the $10,000 first prize and a guarantee from Local Motors of Arizona to build a prototype of the design.

The next phase of the contest involves a vehicle packaging and layout competition, then interior design, surface modeling and, finally, a photo-realistic rendering competition.

Personally, as a former pizza-delivery driver, all you need is a fast car, preferably all-wheel drive, and a confident wheelman who not only knows the delivery area, but also the local law enforcement. A Subaru WRX or Mitsubishi Evolution would work just fine.

You can have it in 30 minutes, heck you can have it in less. As long as you don't mind a round pizza centrifugally smashed into the corner of the box.
