Slim pickings for major car events this time of year as people gear up for the holidays, but here’s what we have through December:

• The Greater Los Angeles International Auto Show happens Dec. 4 through 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Information: LA Auto Show.

• Mecum Auctions’ Muscle Cars and More takes place Dec. 4 and 5 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo. Information: Mecum Auction.

• The East Coast Indoor Nationals Car and Motorcycle Show, billed as the largest indoor classic and custom show on the East Coast, happens Dec. 5 and 6 at the Timonium Fairgrounds Cow Palace in Timonium, Md. Information: Indoor Show.

• The Pomona Car Show and Swap Meet takes place Dec. 6 at the Fairplex in Pomona, Ca. The West Coast’s
largest event of its kind includes 15 miles of cars and parts for sale.

• The Texas Swap Meet Winternationals runs Dec. 12 and 13 at the Bell Exposition Center in Belton, Tex. Information: Swap Meet.

• The 26th annual Bakersfield Toy Run and Food Drive to benefit the Salvation Army lines up at 7 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Beach Park, Oak and 21st streets in Bakersfield, Ca., for a parade to Kern County Fairgrounds where the party begins. Information: Toy Run.
