The first images of Mercedes-Benz’s new Concept Style Coupe have hit the Web, revealing the design showcase from almost every angle.

The Concept Style Coupe is a preview of an upcoming four-door compact model from Mercedes-Benz, which is expected to be called the CLC Class, although the CLA name has also been rumored.

The production version expected to go on sale early next year is based on the front-drive platform of Mercedes' A and B Class vehicles. (Image: Mercedes-Benz)
There aren’t any official details to go along with the pretty pictures, but we know that the concept is set to be unveiled in Los Angeles at the Transmission LA: AV CLUB festival being run April 20 by the city’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

Though it might seem strange for Mercedes-Benz to unveil its Concept Style Coupe at a youth-oriented festival rather than a major international auto show, the automaker has been strengthening its links with the art world recently through its Avant/Garde Diaries. Additionally, the production version of the Concept Style Coupe will be aimed at today’s trendy youth, who are just the type of people attending the festival in L.A.

The production version of the Concept Style Coupe is expected to hit showrooms early next year and will be the first compact offering from Mercedes-Benz in the U.S. It is based on the same front-wheel drive platform found in the latest A Class and B Class models and should come with all-wheel drive as well as a high-performance AMG variant.

The base model will feature a turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 211 horsepower and matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
