Go ahead. Take a look at her. Now, start daydreaming. She could be yours.

A Ford Racing Champions Shelby GT500 Special Edition Mustang will be given away to one lucky winner as part of SPEED's live coverage of the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz.

She's red, of course, with white trim and graphite rims. But that's where any semblance of just another Mustang ends. This baby is a one-of-a-kind machine with champion bloodlines, so to speak.

NASCAR drivers Trevor Bayne, the 2011 Daytona 500 winner, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the 2011 Nationwide Series Champion, helped with the collaboration of this special car. If your friends don't believe that some NASCAR drivers had a hand in this car's design, just point out the special autographed plaque on the car's dashboard.

This GT500 has a six-speed manual transmission and – wait for it – a supercharged V8 engine that was boosted from 550 horsepower to 750 horsepower.

Nothing gets the attention of auto enthusiasts more than that beautiful roar coming from a Shelby engine, so Stenhouse and Bayne chose a Ford Racing sport-muffler kit to get that sound just right. It screams, "Catch me if you can." But good luck to any challengers; this pony gallops from zero to 60 in less than four seconds.

Hubba hubba!

"What more could you ask than a winning one-of-a-kind Shelby GT500 Special Edition Mustang," said Rick Miner, SPEED’s senior vice president of production, network operations and executive producer. "What is Barrett-Jackson all about if not one of one? Not only is this a dominating street machine, but like any rare vehicle – especially a one-of-a-kind-offering – it's the pinnacle of what people seek out in car collecting."

Bayne was all smiles after he took the GT500 for a spin. "It's a pretty impressive car," he said.

Stenhouse agreed.

"It's not a normal (Shelby) that everybody else has," he said. "This has more horsepower than our Nationwide Series cars do. This is a lot of horsepower, even for myself."

To win this car, go to SPEED's Hagerty Fantasy Bid Game web page and register. Once you do, you’ll be able to enter your fantasy bid on eligible cars. Keep in mind that you’re not actually bidding on any car, just simply trying to guess the actual "gaveled" price of the car without going over.

You can also bid with your mobile device, in case you can't watch all the action on your computer or television set, by simply texting your bid (in dollars but with no punctuation) to "773333" during applicable bidding times.

Each bid is counted as an entry for some great prizes, including a 60-inch Samsung 3D high-definition television, a $500 Amazon gift card, a Kindle Fire Multi-touch and that gorgeous GT500. SPEED will also award daily prizes for players who accumulate the most points per day ($500 fuel card) and per-car prize winners (16-gigabyte Apple iPad2).

Fantasy bids are not limited to one per household; it's one fantasy bid per person per car

The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale runs Jan. 15-22, with bidding starting Jan. 17. Among the cars on the auction block are a 1948 Tucker "Torpedo" (Ron Pratte Collection) that could bring in a world-record price of more than $1 million and a 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe, all original with only 4,100 miles on it.

In the meantime, start dreaming about that GT500.

After all, even NASCAR drivers want her.

"If I was eligible,” Bayne said, “I would be going on there right now on my phone (and) signing on, to try and figure out how to win this thing."

Live coverage begins Tuesday, Jan. 17, and Fantasy Bidding starts Thursday, Jan. 19.

Start your engines.
