The original series My Ride Rules, a unique reality show in which real people show off their own cars that reflect their passion and personal styles, premieres new episodes February 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SPEED.

In My Ride Rules, produced by ITV Studios America, four car owners compete against each other by introducing their rides to the other contestants and letting them get behind the wheel. Each competitor then rates the others’ cars on appearance, performance and personality, with the winner taking home a $1,000 cash prize and the My Ride Rules trophy presented by trophy girl Ginny Jones.

In the new 13-episode season, My Ride Rules goes beyond the Los Angeles area to film four of the episodes in Dallas and five in Atlanta, as well as four in LA.

“With these new episodes, My Ride Rules delves even deeper into the country’s passion for the automobile,” said Robert Ecker, SPEED vice president of programming and executive producer. “Taking the show beyond LA by visiting the cities of Dallas and Atlanta really highlights the differences in style, taste and regional interests of the contestants, all of whom remain tied together through a single bond – a love of their personal ride and the independence it represents.”

Contestants run the gamut from a pastor to a strip-club owner to a train conductor. The cars range from a 1936 Ford hot rod to a 1963 Chevy Impala lowrider to a 2005 Lexus Hybrid. What the competitors have in common is that they all share a special devotion and attachment to their vehicles.

And since the contestants judge and score each other, and ultimately pick a winner among themselves, any of the four cars truly can win.My Ride Rules is the only car competition in which a Volkswagen bug can go hood-to-hood with a Shelby. Where a Mercury can take on a Mercedes.

“SPEED is an amazing partner for My Ride Rules which continues to grow with support from the network,” said Brian Zagorski, vice president, current and programming for ITV Studios America. “We especially look forward to this new run because we’ve extended the competition beyond the Los Angeles area.”

My Ride Rules is produced for SPEED by ITV Studios America, with Mark Roberts and Lorena David Esguerra as executive producers. Episodes are available for review and air back-to-back every Tuesday starting at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
