Barrett-Jackson and six other collector-car auctions crowd Arizona's famous January sales.

This month’s calendar is packed with the collector-car auctions of Arizona, with Barrett-Jackson’s huge event dominating the field and another high-end auction, Bonhams, added to the mix.

• The gates open for the 41st annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction on Jan. 15 with bidding starting Jan. 17 and running through Jan. 22 at the WestWorld site. SPEED will broadcast nearly 40 hours of live auction action, with contests and interactive events included. Details: Barrett-Jackson.

• Motoexotica Classic Cars holds its collector-car auction Jan. 14-15 at the Dealers Auction facility in south Phoenix. Details: Motoexotica

• Bonhams will conduct its inaugural Scottsdale collector-car auction Jan. 19 at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. Details: Bonhams.

• RM Auctions returns to the Biltmore Resort in Phoenix for its sale Jan. 19-20. Details: RM Auctions.

• Russo and Steele hosts its auction Jan. 19-22 at its improved and expanded site at Scottsdale Road and Loop 101 in Scottsdale. Details: Russo and Steele.

• Gooding & Company brings its high-caliber collection to Scottsdale for a sale Jan. 20-21 at its site on Camelback Road just west of Scottsdale Road. Details: Gooding and Company.

• Silver Auctions’ friendly collector-car event happens Jan. 20-21 at the Fort McDowell Resort and Casino northeast of Scottsdale. Details: Silver Auctions.

• The MidAmerica Motorcycle Auction & Races rolls into Las Vegas from Jan. 12-14. Details: Motorcycles.
