First unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Bertone's striking Nuccio concept car will be presented in updated form next week at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show.

While the Geneva car was simply a full-scale styling model, the concept car will arrive in China able to move under its own power. And it has already found a buyer.

The famed Bertone design house hasn't just chosen a puny token powerplant either; the Nuccio hides a 4.3-liter V8 with 480 horsepower under its swoopy styling.

That styling has changed a bit from the Geneva concept, befitting its new-found usability. The single, narrow LED headlight has been replaced by two more conventional units, and the windscreen is now a more realistic size. The larger side mirrors are also more usable.

Named after the late Giuseppe "Nuccio" Bertone, who lead the design house to greatness, the concept car also celebrates the design firm's 100th anniversary this year.

Bertone is responsible for some of the world's most famous vehicles; the Lancia Stratos, Lamborghini Miura, Lamborghini Countach and several Alfa Romeos and Citroëns have passed over the drawing board at Bertone before hitting the streets.

There's no word on the lucky Nuccio concept buyer, but hopefully the vehicle will be displayed and driven rather than hidden away in a private collection.
