British luxury manufacturer Bentley has released photos of the second generation Continental GT, which will debut at the end of this month at the Paris Motor Show.

Visually, it is clearly an evolutionary development of the original four-seat coupe launched in 2003, and it is still powered by the twin-turbo W12 engine, which is now good for a hefty 567 horsepower. Next year, a more frugal and cleaner 4-liter V8 will be added to the line-up.

Bentley's engineers have worked hard to refine the GT, and as a result, it is quite a bit lighter than the outgoing model. The two-door coupe also features a sophisticated audio system with integrated navigation system.

The standard all-wheel-drive system has been recalibrated to provide a sporty 40:60 rear-torque bias, compared with the 50:50 bias of the original Continental GT, minimizing understeer during hard cornering and allowing the experienced driver to control the car's line and balance via precise throttle control.
