Adding a new date on August 24th for their Arrows F1 driving experience, the Skip Barber driving school has expanded their offerings beyond the familiar formula car school, their Mazda MX-5 Cup School, and their High Perfomance Driving School.

Run in partnership with the LRS Formula USA organization, Barber will roll out two 1997 Arrows A-18's, previously driven by 1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill, and his Brazilian team mate Pedro Diniz. Hill famously led the Hungarian Grand
Prix in his A-18, nearly delivering the first win for Arrows until a hydraulic leak relegated Hill to second place with only a few laps remaining.

Diniz, even more famously, often used his A-18's to test their design tolerances for impact and spectacular crashes. Despite Diniz's attempts a decade ago, the A-18 used in the Skip Barber school is indeed fully intact and in perfect working order…

The F1 machines are powered by Cosworth HF normally aspirated V8 engines that rev to 14,000 RPM, and feature both paddle-shifted semi-automatic gearboxes and carbon-carbon brakes.
The morning session will consist of the Skip Barber Introduction to Racing; a three-hour program consisting of classroom training and (3) 20-minute session on track in the Formula Skip Barber racecar. After a lunch break the LRS Formula USA guys take over, preparing you for the experience of piloting a Formula One racecar for four laps around the 2.2 mile Skip Barber School Course.
